Help Us Build the House
House on Fire is an independent platform established to create a space where words matter, ideas are challenged, and perspectives cross borders. It exists for those with a story to share, for writers and readers who cherish the written word, and for anyone who dares to question and reflect.
If you’d like to support our work, you can make a voluntary donation via PayPal.
These contributions help sustain and grow the platform, keeping it independent and inclusive. Donations are entirely at your discretion, and no exclusive content or privileges are granted in return – your support is purely a gesture of goodwill. All funds received will go directly towards the running, upkeep and growth of House on Fire.
Why We Exist
House on Fire was founded with several guiding aims:
- to foster a community of authors and readers committed to dialogue and creative exchange;
- to be a platform for writers and thinkers eager to engage deeply with politics, society, culture, fashion, and personal experience;
- to champion freedom of expression while promoting civic awareness and social responsibility;
- to provide a home for fearless writing, where critique, analysis, and personal reflection can coexist;
- to connect Serbia with Europe and the rest of the world.
You can read more about these ideas in our houfi Vision.
